What is Project 101?
Welcome to Project 101, a 101 mile run campaign benefitting Memorial Sloan Kettering to raise awareness & money for breast cancer research!
Alex Dakas & his team are on a mission to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research by running 101 miles in a single bout to symbolize his aunt’s 10/1 diagnosis date as well as the first day of breast cancer awareness month.
Inspired by the strength and resilience of his loved ones & all those affected by breast cancer, Alex is committed to making a difference. Every mile he runs symbolizes Project 101’s solidarity with survivors, fighters, and the memory of those we've lost to this disease.
This journey is more than just a run—it's a call to action. Every dollar raised will benefit Memorial Sloan Kettering & go directly to groundbreaking research that aims to find better treatments and ultimately a cure for breast cancer.
Join Alex as he laces up his running shoes and hits the busy streets of Manhattan through Long Island to Greenport, NY, one step at a time. Together, we can create hope and change lives.
Strength is Every Step. Hope in Every Mile.
