Elena Tavarez

I was diagnosed with Triple Negative BC at 28, when my baby was 6 weeks old at my post partum appointment . Over the next two years I had months of chemo, radiation, numerous surgeries. I am now 12 years BC free and thriving.

I am born, raised, and live in Brooklyn. I workout and train 5 days a week and run weekly.

My mother and grandmother both died of Breast Cancer at 54 years old. All of us BRCA + , and I am determined to live way past 55.

Spreading awareness and helping to raise $ for research is always at the forefront of my mind.

I am always inspired by those fighting cancer, survivors, AND their support systems. It’s a battle we all can share.
