Phyllis Lee
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021. Of course my initial feeling was “why me!”
It was an unexpected health scare as I am the only living woman in my family with this diagnosis. I had no family member who could sympathize with me. But, I had a lot of family, friends and medical professionals who were extremely supportive and held me up. So my thought of “why me!” has dissipated because now I can help others that are in the emotional space that I was in at the beginning of my breast health journey.
