Eva Kostopoulos
Research and advancements in technology are crucial—they save lives.
My name is Eva Kostopoulos, and in September 2023, my life took an unexpected turn. A routine mammogram raised concerns, followed by an inconclusive sonogram and a biopsy that led to surgery. It was daunting and terrifying to hear the words “Atypical Ductal Hyperplasia—you need surgery.” Thankfully, I underwent a successful procedure that saved my life and confirmed I was cancer-free. For that, I am profoundly grateful.
In moments like these, you put your trust entirely in your doctors, hoping for the best possible outcome. Memorial Sloan Kettering (MSK) is the place for cutting-edge technology, unparalleled expertise, and compassionate care.
Now, my nephew, Alex Dakas, is taking on an extraordinary challenge to make a difference. With determination and selflessness, he’s running 101 miles to symbolize October 1st, the first day of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and to honor the women in his life who have been affected by breast cancer. His goal is to raise funds for MSK, supporting their lifesaving work and helping more people like me.
Please join me in supporting Alex and this incredible cause. Together, we can help MSK continue to save lives.
